Pickleball club marketing that turns casual players into members

We're a pickleball club marketing agency for pickleball, padel and racquet clubs in Canada and the US. We plan your season, fill your leagues, clinics and quiet hours, and build the ads, pages and follow-up that turn a first visit into a membership.

The problem

Why do pickleball clubs need a different kind of marketing?

Because most players are casual, and casual players don't pay dues. SFIA counted 24.3 million Americans playing pickleball in 2025, but only 7.5 million played 8 or more times. Roughly two in three US players play fewer than 8 times a year (our calculation from SFIA's figures). In Canada, Pickleball Canada's 2026 survey counts 1.8 million players, up from 1.54 million a year earlier.

The players who do commit want more court time and better matches. In SFIA and DUPR's 2025 survey of avid players, 44.4% said courts are overcrowded, 39.2% struggle to find opponents at their level, and 48% want to play more often. Avid players spend an average of $913 a year on facility fees, the biggest single cost they reported.

So the growth isn't in more first visits. It's in moving players up. That means three things:

  1. Sell access, not hours. Booking windows and leveled play are what committed players pay for.
  2. Build a weekly habit. Leagues and clinics turn a visit into a routine.
  3. Fill the quiet hours on purpose. Daytime tiers and off-peak leagues, not discounts on your evenings.
What we do

What does a pickleball club marketing agency do?

It turns casual players into members. For a pickleball or padel club that means planning your season around league and clinic starts, building a membership ladder people understand, filling weekday daytime courts, running Meta and Google ads in each window, and following up every first visit the same day. We report on members and bookings, not likes.

01

Your season calendar, 18 months out.

January intro push, spring and fall league starts, summer camps, the back-to-indoor drive, corporate holiday events and the snowbird months. Each one gets its own campaign, started weeks before it opens.

02

A membership ladder people understand.

Tiers priced on access, not just hours. In our survey of 27 clubs, 17 of the 22 that publish booking windows give paid tiers different windows. One page per offer, with what's included, the booking window and one form.

03

Content from your courts.

We come in and leave with a month of content. League nights, a clinic's before and after, the first-timers' session, padel for people who've never seen it. Real players, made for the people who'll join next.

04

Ads in the window.

Meta to players and social groups within a sensible drive. Google search for "pickleball near me", "padel [city]" and your club's name. Retargeting with the offer and the date for anyone who looked and didn't join.

05

Follow-up that turns a visit into a member.

An automatic thank-you after every first visit, a skill rating or leveled game in week one, a member offer within 48 hours and a check-in at 30 days. In my experience, leads come in and nobody follows up, and that's usually the real leak, not the ad spend.

The year

When should a pickleball club market each offer?

Start each campaign 6 to 10 weeks before its window, and plan the year around the outdoor season. Here's how we'd plan a northern indoor club's year. Your dates will differ, so this is a starting point, not a rule.

MonthsWhat players are doingWhat we run for you
Jan to FebNew-year energy. Outdoor play impossible.Biggest intro and trial push of the year. Winter league on a fixed weekly slot. 30-day check-ins for new members.
Mar to AprWinter league ends. The US Open Pickleball Championships (17 to 24 April 2027).Second league session with no gap. Spring packages. Watch party. Referral push before the outdoor drop.
May to JunOutdoor play pulls casual players away.Summer flex tier or pause option instead of cancellations. Junior camps. Corporate summer outings.
Jul to AugOutdoor play and vacations.Beginner clinics. Fall league early-bird. Back-to-indoor pre-registration.
Sep to OctBack to routine. Indoor season starts.Fall member drive. 6 to 10 week fall league. Member-get-member month. Corporate holiday bookings.
Nov to DecPeak indoor demand. Holiday events. Snowbirds leave.Pause options for snowbirds. Gift cards. Off-peak corporate events. January intro packs pre-sold.
The point

Every row has a sales window. Most clubs only market when they open.

“

I think a fixed weekly slot with the same group is one of the strongest things keeping someone in a club.

That's why every campaign we build ends at a league, a clinic or a membership, not a single court booking.

FAQ

Pickleball club marketing questions

What does a pickleball club marketing agency do?

It turns casual players into members. That means planning your season around league and clinic starts, building a clear membership ladder, filling quiet hours, running Meta and Google ads in each window, and following up every first visit the same day.

How do you get more members for a pickleball club?

Move players up, not just in. Price tiers on access like booking windows, put new players into leveled leagues and clinics in their first weeks, and follow up every first visit fast. Most players are casual, so the growth is in the step from casual to committed.

Do you work with padel clubs too?

Yes. We work with pickleball, padel and mixed racquet clubs. Padel needs more explaining, so we lean harder on intro sessions and content that shows first-timers how the game works.

Do you work with clubs outside BC?

Yes. We're based in Surrey, BC, and work with clubs and facilities across Canada and the US, remotely and with shoot days on site.

How do you measure pickleball club marketing?

In members and bookings. We track inquiries, first visits, member sign-ups, league and clinic entries and cost per member, and agree the targets with you before launch.

Let's map your club's season

Tell us what you're trying to fill, members, leagues or daytime courts, and when. On a 30-minute call we'll map the season and tell you what we'd build first. If it's something you can do yourselves, we'll say so.
